Grilled Cheese of the Day - Page 8

After figuring out my battery problem (alkaline batteries don't work in extreme cold, must use lithium) I put the wildlife camera back out on the game trail.  And, first night out I caught a glimpse what I assume is the same neightborhood fox I have seen before.

Champions League makes the minutes go by quicker when on the bike.  Croissant likes her tower where it is now because she can keep an on me while I workout.  At least that is what I think she thinks.

Croissant found my office window from the outside.  I am in a basement and my window is at ground level. When I spoke she could hear me and started meowing and rubbing her body against the window.

Some interesting videos from the Wildlife camera I have trained on Croissant's door.  A possum visited 😬.  Croissant brought 2 mice into house 😬.  The first mouse I was not awake for.  Hopefully it was dead BEFORE she brought it in and it is not still running around in the basement.  It has happened before where she brought mice in and lost them and then days later I see it scurrying across the floor while watching TV.  The second mouse was DOA.  She brought it in and ate it while I was down there watching football.

Croissant photos.  I have finally figured out the problem with my wildlife camera.  It just needed fresh batteries even though the battery life said 36%.  I put new batteries in and it says, like, 55%.  I guess it doesn't read the alkyline batteries correctly.  At some point I will put the camera out in a better spot to capture wildlife.  Just not sure where yet.  I have been walking around trying to spot tracks.  Haven't found anything but deer tracks so far.

Croissant has been using the Christmas tree to get away from the kids.  She is able to tuck in behind the presents.  It is also nice and warm because of the radiant heat in the floors.

Not much wildlife traffic where this camera sits with 12-14 inches of snow on the ground.  I put it out at Croissant's door to see if she's actually using her door late night now that her curfew was modified.  Her door no longer locks at 8pm.  It now locks at midnight and unlocks again at 4am.  I figured now that she is fully grown she can probably handle herself if she wants to venture out late at night.  Last night she did not go out at all after 730pm, lol.  I have trained her too well on my old man schedule (sleep by 8, awake at 4).

Wildlife camera caught this fox who was stopped in his tracks by a scent in the early morning air.  It stood there sniffing for several seconds.

Over the last few days the wildlife camera captured a coyote, a skunk, and as always Croissant.
